Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Marquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Marquez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez throws a right and a left that Hendo avoids nicely.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hendo has Marquez pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hendo pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Marquez tumbling to the mat - Hendo dives into Marquez's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hendo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Marquez wants to get back to his feet but Hendo passes into half guard.
Hendo is trying to control. Marquez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hendo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marquez's head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hendo looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Marquez is avoiding damage well.
Hendo lands some shots froms side control.
Marquez is breathing heavily.
Hendo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Marquez is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hendo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hendo cracks Marquez with an elbow. That is naaassty.

You can see the frustration on Marquez's face as Hendo controls the position.

Marquez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oh Marquez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hendo controlling the position from side mount.
Hendo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hendo lands a strong strike to the head of Marquez. That's dazed him! Hendo looking to finish here. Marquez is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Hendo lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Our winner, Danny Hendo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
