Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnson Beharry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mottinga Maiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beharry comes to the cage accompanied by Redemption Song. Mottinga Maiden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnson Beharry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mottinga Maiden! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maiden moves out of range of the leg kick from Beharry. Beharry misses with a wild body shot. Maiden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Maiden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beharry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maiden somewhat. Maiden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beharry.
Beharry takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Beharry just misses with a punch to the body.
Beharry decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Beharry trying to control from half guard but Maiden is working away. Maiden trying to control but Beharry postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maiden wants to control but Beharry passes into side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maiden prevents Beharry from improving position. Maiden is working to avoid the ground and pound but Beharry connects with a decent elbow. Beharry landing strikes. Maiden taking a bit of punishment here - Beharry scoring with strikes. Beharry throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Maiden tries to buck Beharry off but Beharry is having none of it. Beharry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Maiden takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Beharry working away. Beharry working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beharry is putting a hurting on Maiden here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beharry has an Americana. Maiden didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Beharry is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Beharry hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Johnson Beharry! Johnson Beharry seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
