Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George DeLuca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frazier Crane!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane tries to score a power double leg takedown but DeLuca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crane somewhat.
DeLuca missing with a left hand there. Crane was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A telegraphed right hand from DeLuca misses the target.
DeLuca lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


It looks like Frazier Crane has been cut.
Crane misses with a looping right.
Crane looks to land a combination but DeLuca avoids it well.
Crane shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has DeLuca pinned against the cage. DeLuca gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Crane tries to clinch but DeLuca moves out of range.
DeLuca misses with a looping left.
Crane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from DeLuca.
Crane is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
DeLuca keeps the fight on the outside.

DeLuca looking to score a takedown here. Crane is defending well but DeLuca drives through and ends up in Crane's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
DeLuca is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

DeLuca postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Crane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of DeLuca, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DeLuca manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

DeLuca is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Crane has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Crane!

DeLuca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but DeLuca is tightening it up a little... Crane has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Crane reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Crane taps out! Nice BJJ there by DeLuca!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). George DeLuca!
George DeLuca bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
