Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Bashir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Mohamed Bashir has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mohamed Bashir seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton forces Bashir back against the ropes and clinches.
Burton just leaning against Bashir, taking a breather.
Burton prevents the takedown attempt.
Bashir tries to score a body lock takedown but Burton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Burton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burton scores with a jab to the body.
Burton looks to land a combination but Bashir avoids it well.
Burton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bashir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Burton's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Burton duly obliges.
It looks like Mohamed Bashir has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Burton thows a body shot but no joy.
Burton swings for the body but Bashir moves out of range.
Bashir fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burton avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohamed Bashir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burton has closed the distance and engaged Bashir in a clinch.

Bashir moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Burton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Burton throws a lazy right hand but Bashir sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Burton looks to score with a jab to the body but Bashir is just out of range.
Burton jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Burton tries to close the distance and clinch but Bashir swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bashir looks for a takedown but Burton sprawls well.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bashir. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bashir takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bashir is breathing heavily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Burton. Bashir does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bashir misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bashir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burton's waist but Burton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bashir off to one side.
Nice takedown defense from Burton. No joy for Bashir on that attempt.
Burton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bashir is looking for a kimura but Burton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bashir to get the leverage.
Bashir is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bashir.
Bashir uses his free foot to push down on Burton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Burton.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bashir has hold of Burton's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Burton manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Burton lands a left and a right that send Bashir crashing to the mat, dazed. Burton thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burton throws an uppercut from hell that sends Bashir clean off his feet! He's out cold! Burton stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
