Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Agressão/Repressão. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie gets a takedown into half guard.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt.
Silva is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
BOOM! Gracie connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Silva tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control.

Gracie with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie looking for a guillotine from mount but Silva is having none of it.

Silva is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.
Silva is working hard here to advance position.

Silva bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.

Gracie is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.

Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

Gracie is controlling the position but Silva somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silva kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Silva is trying to get back to half guard.

Royce Gracie dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

Silva has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie advances position into side control!

Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.
Gracie has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Silva!

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Gracie wants to take Silva's back but he can't do it this time.
Gracie lands with some strikes.
A nice elbow there by Gracie.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Silva is looking to get to half guard.

Gracie working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay.

Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silva is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can.
Silva is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gracie has taken his back.

Silva rolls, trying to escape but Gracie keeps control of the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Silva turns into Gracie and is now in his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva advances to half guard.

Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Royce Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Silva is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done.

Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva!

Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Silva!

Gracie has his feet on Silva's thighs here. He's pushed Silva off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Silva screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
