Thorpe comes into the arena with Limelight by Rush blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorpe blocks a head kick by Hill.
Thorpe dodges the punch combination from Hill.
Hill throws a head kick but Thorpe moves out of range.
Hill tries to sprawl but Thorpe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hill is looking for a sweep. Thorpe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Thorpe tries to pass to full mount but Hill defends it.
Hill is looking to escape.
Hill avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Thorpe.
Hill makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Sloppy strikes from Thorpe. Those never looked like landing.
Thorpe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck for Thorpe with that takedown attempt.
A head kick from Hill lands but Thorpe takes it in his stride.
It looks like Scott Thorpe has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thorpe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Bobby Hill has been cut.
Hill connects with a leg kick. Thorpe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hill. That's going to slow Thorpe down.
Nice body kick there by Hill.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hill lands with a kick to the temple. Thorpe shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Thorpe has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hill.
Thorpe is breathing heavily.
Jab by Hill.
A jab from Hill finds it's way through Thorpe's defenses.
Scott Thorpe's cut is getting worse.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hill.
Thorpe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hill connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thorpe scrambles back to his feet.
Thorpe is rocked!
Hill throws a leg kick which misses Thorpe's front leg but catches the back leg as Thorpe tries to avoid it.
Hill feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Thorpe's calf.
Hill lands a brutal head kick. Thorpe looks out on his feet and Hill throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
