Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pit Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marion Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pit Bull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marion Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to clinch but Bull moves out of range.

Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Bull has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bull has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jackson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Jackson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bull has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bull controlling the action here for a moment.
Jackson has Bull pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bull manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bull gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jackson.
Bull has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jackson after a bit of a struggle.

Jackson wants a takedown but no success here.
Pit Bull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marion Jackson.

Bull ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bull no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bull has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Bull's legs - danger averted.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bull is on top in guard.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bull. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson has given up his back here.

Bull punches the canvas rather than the man.

What can Jackson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Jackson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bull gets his way!
Bull is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Bull counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bull looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well.

and Bull counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson.

and Bull counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Bull circles away.

Bull rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Bull. Bull maintains the clinch.

Bull gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bull will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bull has control of Jackson's left arm, preventing Jackson from doing any damage.

Bull looking for a sweep. Not yet Bull, not yet.
Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pit Bull overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bull lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!
Jackson is looking to improve his position but Bull isn't that keen on the idea.
Bull tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bull looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Jackson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bull moves into the clinch.

Bull successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bull wants to sweep but no luck.

Bull working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bull wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Marion Jackson wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bull pulls guard.
Bull is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jackson wants to control but Bull is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bull is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jackson is looking to get back to full guard here but Bull has managed to pass to side control instead.

Bull tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Bull decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Marion Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bull.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bull swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Bull counters with a series of strikes. Jackson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jackson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bull blocks it with crossed arms.

Bull pulls guard successfully.
Bull bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bull sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bull's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson is trying to keep Bull in close.

Pit Bull showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bull has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
