Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dunce Mulkier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Millar's choice of entrance music: Never Say Die. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mulkier slips a jab and a cross from Millar.
Mulkier will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mulkier is trying hard to land a takedown here. Millar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A combination from Mulkier does no damage.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Millar clinches up with Mulkier and pushes him back against the cage.

Mulkier throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Millar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mulkier's half guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Millar passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mulkier!

Millar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Millar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mulkier's face.

Millar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mulkier napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Michael Millar has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mulkier pushes Millar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Millar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Millar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mulkier will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Millar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Millar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Millar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mulkier keeps working.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Millar creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Millar works to advance to full mount. Mulkier defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Mulkier is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Mulkier has left one of his arms exposed and Millar doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Mulkier screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
