Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buu Set (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Abbiati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Abbiati's choice of entrance music: Don't Speak - Eagles of Death Metal. Giorgio Abbiati is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buu Set! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giorgio Abbiati! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Set shoots in looking for a takedown but Abbiati manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Set's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Abbiati fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Set manages to avoid it. Set tries to clinch but Abbiati is having none of it. Abbiati moves in looking to clinch but Set pushes him off. Set forces Abbiati back against the cage and clinches. Abbiati misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Set.

Set really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Abbiati swinging wildly here.

We're going to have a standup here because Buu Set wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Set looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Abbiati tries to roll over but Set keeps him under control.

Set slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buu Set dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Set closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Set lands in his opponent's guard. Set trying to control the position from guard on top but Abbiati is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Set sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Abbiati's guard. Set wants to free his trapped foot but Abbiati is holding on for dear life with his legs. Abbiati is trying to stand back up but Set is controlling him

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Buu Set. Set plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Abbiati darts in trying to clinch and Set counters with a nice leg kick. Abbiati does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Set tries to clinch but Abbiati moves out of range. Abbiati wants to clinch up but Set keeps it at a distance. Set tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Abbiati paws at him with a jab and circles away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Abbiati displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Set. Set closes the distance and pushes Abbiati back into the cage. Set on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Abbiati is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Set is defending well for now. Abbiati is working Set over against the cage. Set misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Abbiati.
Set tries to score a body lock takedown but Abbiati shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Set manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abbiati controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Set looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Set is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abbiati wants to control from the top but Set keeps moving. Abbiati is pushing down on Set's leg trying to pass to half guard. Set is fighting to maintain full guard but Abbiati has managed to sneak the leg through. Abbiati wants to stand up but Set has a hold of him and won't allow it. Abbiati prevents Set from improving his position. Abbiati decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Abbiati thows a body shot but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Abbiati, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Abbiati tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Set shoots for a takedown but Abbiati saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Set throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Abbiati's waist but Abbiati gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Set off to one side. Set shoots in but Abbiati avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Abbiati misses with a double jab.

That was a close second round but I would say that Buu Set will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Set throwing strikes but Abbiati uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Buu Set overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Set wants to pass the guard but Abbiati is defending well. The fighters are battling for position here. Abbiati manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Giorgio Abbiati has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Set looking to sit in guard and control but Abbiati gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Abbiati showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Set working for a triangle but Abbiati defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Set controls Abbiati momentarily but Abbiati frees himself. Set utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Abbiati preventing the sweep. Set not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Set has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Abbiati can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Set can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Abbiati controls the pace. Set looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

And that's the end of the fight! Buu Set showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Set, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
