Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Weed Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pvt. Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer. Hopper comes to the cage accompanied by Ghost Town. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pvt. Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopper slips a jab from Palmer.
Hopper takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Palmer thows a body shot but no joy.
Hopper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Palmer as he avoids it easily.
Hopper scores a takedown into full mount!
Hopper looking for a guillotine from mount but Palmer is having none of it.

Hopper is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Palmer has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Palmer!

Palmer looking to sit in guard and control but Hopper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hopper wants to pass the guard but Palmer is keeping the position.
Hopper has gone for a leg lock! Palmer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hopper's guard.
Palmer is looking to stand up but Hopper won't let him.

Hopper has his foot on Palmer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Palmer works his way back into a safe position though.

Hopper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Palmer defends it easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Palmer's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hopper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Palmer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Palmer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Palmer wanted to stand there but Hopper had control of the position.

Hopper is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hopper doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Palmer slips nicely into half guard.
Palmer stands up and beckons Hopper to join him on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palmer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hopper under the eye.
Palmer misses the shot to the body.
Hopper closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That was a close round but I would say that Weed Hopper will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Hopper or perhaps it was just good defense by Palmer which made him look bad.

Hopper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palmer's waist but Palmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hopper off to one side.

enabling Palmer to counter with a crisp jab.
Palmer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Palmer lands with a good body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hopper.

Palmer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Palmer wants it to stay on the feet.

Hopper shoots in looking for a takedown but Palmer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hopper's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Palmer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hopper. Hopper circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Palmer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hoppers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hopper takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Palmer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Palmer counters with a nice body shot.
Pvt. Palmer seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Palmer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hopper on the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Palmer in particular looking to stall.
