Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hilo Hatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Hilo Hatti has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hilo Hatti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dusty Rhodes! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatti pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rhodes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hatti on his heels. He'll look to pass Hatti's guard now, I'm sure. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rhodes working some strikes from top position. Rhodes drops back looking for a leg! Hatti is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hatti manages to kick Rhodes off! Rhodes jumps back into Hatti's guard. Rhodes controls from within his opponent's guard. Hatti trying to control the position.
Rhodes throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rhodes controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rhodes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hatti swivels and escapes. Hatti scores with a decent looking hook. Rhodes checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Rhodes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatti uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rhodes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Rhodes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Rhodes prevents Hatti from improving his position. Rhodes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hatti on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hatti tries to get out of the position. Rhodes not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rhodes stalling. Hatti is trying to maintain the position but Rhodes is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatti has hold of Rhodes's hands but Rhodes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Rhodes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hatti is trying to control but can't.
Rhodes with the ground and pound but Hatti uses the opportunity to regain guard. Rhodes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rhodes scoring with some ground and pound. Rhodes controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rhodes cracks Hatti with a solid left hand. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rhodes looking to control the position here, rather than advance. It looks like Rhodes might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rhodes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dusty Rhodes wasn't active enough on the ground. Hatti swings away with a leg kick that misses.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Hatti pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hatti keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hatti throws a half hearted mid kick. Hatti is breathing heavily. Hatti throws a body punch but Rhodes moves out of range. Hatti throws a looping overhand right but Rhodes ducks down to avoid it. Rhodes fails to land the takedown. Hilo Hatti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusty Rhodes. Hatti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hatti is looking to land body kicks.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Rhodes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hatti misses with a leg kick. Rhodes moves out of range of the leg kick from Hatti. Hatti misses the shot to the body. Hatti throws a hook to the side of Rhodes's head but Rhodes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rhodes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rhodes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hatti's guard. Rhodes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hatti being controlled for a moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rhodes has hold of Hatti's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hatti seems comfortable defending it but Rhodes has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hatti is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hatti is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rhodes couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dusty Rhodes! Dusty Rhodes decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
