Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermain King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Proud Music. King has chosen VAMPIRE as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jermain King!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Miller. That did some damage!
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Miller drives through with a takedown into King's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Miller postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.
King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Miller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miller tries to get out of the position.
Miller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Miller seems to be working for a kimura but King defends the submission attempt.

Miller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Miller is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Miller eventually gives up the hold.

Miller is keen to just control but King is a slippery customer.

Miller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. King doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miller.

King has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miller is working away from the top position though.
Miller looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Miller moves nicely into side control.

Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and King counters with a straight right hand.
King tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Jermain King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Miller slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The ground and pound from Miller seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Miller goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, King has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Miller but great work by King.
Dan Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Miller can't do much from the bottom here.
Miller is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on King's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
King tries to stand but can't do so whilst Miller controls his leg.

Miller regains full guard. Nicely done.
Miller is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Miller manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
King is squirming around, avoiding Miller's attempts to control the action.

Miller takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Miller has control of King's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and King regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Miller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
King trying to get back to full guard but Miller takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Miller can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as King is looking to escape.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Miller's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
