The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vodikoff checks the leg kick. Vodikoff takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Vodikoff has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Damato Jr . Damato Jr throws the kick towards the body but Vodikoff avoids it. Vodikoff closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Damato Jr 's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Vodikoff throws a big elbow that misses. Vodikoff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Damato Jr works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Vodikoff is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Vodikoff lands with a punch from half guard. Vodikoff working the head and body with strikes. Vodikoff slips a nice elbow through Damato Jr 's hands, connecting with Damato Jr 's forehead. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Damato Jr has hold of Vodikoff's hands but Vodikoff slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Damato Jr avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vodikoff. Nice strikes from Vodikoff there. Vodikoff works his way into full mount! Damato Jr is bucking up trying to escape but Vodikoff cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vodikoff landing punches. Damato Jr is still in real trouble! Can Vodikoff finish him? Vodikoff scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Vodikoff postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Damato Jr badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Vodikoff around the waist but Vodikoff pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Vodikoff is the winner by TKO! Vodikoff jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
