Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Cantwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Cantwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnson throws a lazy head kick
and Cantwell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Johnson throws a head kick but Cantwell moves out of range.
Cantwell looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well.

Cantwell gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Cantwell wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.

Cantwell shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cantwell dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Cantwell's head and hops out.

You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cantwell misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson tries to bench press Cantwell off him but Cantwell keeps the position.

Cantwell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cantwell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
