Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Titus Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coalman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Coalman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Titus Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coalman!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coalman gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Coalman.

Coalman has managed to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Coalman has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Coalman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coalman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Coalman throws a big right hand that misses.
Coalman stops Johnson from standing up.
Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coalman manages to get himself to full guard.
Johnson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Coalman pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.
Coalman is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.

Titus Johnson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Coalman instigates a clinch.
Coalman putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Johnson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Coalman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Coalman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Johnson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Coalman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Coalman dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Johnson has managed to clinch.

Coalman wants the takedown. Johnson is fighting it off but Coalman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Johnson's guard against the cage.
Coalman distracts Johnson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

Coalman has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Johnson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Coalman doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Coalman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Titus Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Coalman slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Coalman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Coalman scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Coalman is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Johnson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coalman is working away from the top position though.

Johnson is not content to let Coalman control the position.

Coalman wants to advance to full mount but Johnson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson is looking to regain half guard here but Coalman keeps moving and retains side control.

Coalman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Johnson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Coalman's guard! Nice work there by Johnson!

Mark Coalman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Coalman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
