Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joey KK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cumhur Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey KK has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joey KK! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cumhur Kaplan! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! KK shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaplan but Kaplan pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kaplan blocks a leg kick. KK shoots in but no luck this time. Kaplan shoots in but no luck this time. KK is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kaplan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey KK. That's going to take a lot out of him. KK fails to land the takedown. KK closes the distance and clinches up with Kaplan, looking for a takedown. KK pushes Kaplan against the cage but Kaplan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. KK displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaplan. KK avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kaplan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. KK fails with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kaplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaplan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kaplan wants it to stay on the feet. KK gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kaplan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Kaplan's face as he tries to break the clinch. KK drags the fight down to the ground.
Kaplan is fighting to break KK's control of his arms but KK is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kaplan stands up and waves to KK to follow him. KK shoots in but no luck this time. KK is breathing heavily. KK tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. KK shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kaplan swinging wildly here.
Kaplan tries for a takedown but KK sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kaplan darts in trying to clinch and KK counters by clinching up. KK just leaning against Kaplan, taking a breather. KK tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. KK is trying to break the clinch but Kaplan has him pressed against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! KK tries for a takedown but Kaplan manages to get underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kaplan obliges. Kaplan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kaplan looks for a takedown but KK sprawls well. A nice combination there by Kaplan.
KK shoots in but no luck this time. KK fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kaplan. KK keeps the fight on the outside. Kaplan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Some wild striking there from Kaplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaplan misses with a two punch combination.
Kaplan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. No luck with that takedown attempt from KK. Nice straight punches there by Kaplan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kaplan. KK takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kaplan tries to clinch but KK is having none of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kaplan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has KK pinned against the cage. KK gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. KK gets a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cumhur Kaplan will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Cumhur Kaplan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. KK throws a wild body kick that Kaplan sees coming a mile off. Kaplan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cumhur Kaplan seems to be getting the better of the standup. KK rushes Kaplan and presses him up against the cage. Kaplan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables KK to keep the fight standing. KK has Kaplan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kaplan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. KK is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kaplan is defending well for now. KK's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. KK slaps away a takedown attempt from Kaplan, before circling back to the center of the mat. KK shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaplan as he jumps to the side. Joey KK is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kaplan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. KK instigates a clinch. Kaplan is breathing heavily. KK avoids a wild elbow strike from Kaplan. Kaplan wants to break free but KK has control.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as KK takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. KK tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kaplan smiles and moves away.

It looks like Joey KK has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. KK misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kaplan gets tackled into the cage by KK. KK maintains the clinch. KK jumps into guard, dragging Kaplan to the mat.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. KK escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kaplan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kaplan wants to control from the top but KK keeps moving.

KK seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cumhur Kaplan wasn't active enough on the ground. KK gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. KK lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kaplan backwards. Kaplan wants to break the clinch but can't.

KK gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Kaplan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. KK just leaning against Kaplan, taking a breather. KK keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kaplan's efforts to push away. KK has Kaplan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kaplan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. KK keeps control of Kaplan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. KK tries for a takedown. No joy.

Joey KK dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Joey KK's cut. That's time! KK's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
KK moves in looking to clinch but Kaplan pushes him off. Kaplan is looking to clinch but KK is avoiding it.
Kaplan wants to clinch and KK counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kaplan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kaplan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
KK thows a left - swing and a miss! Kaplan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kaplan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
KK slaps away a takedown attempt from Kaplan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kaplan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from KK. Kaplan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kaplan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and KK counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. KK misses with a takedown attempt - Kaplan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kaplan lands a head kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round. KK changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kaplan tries to avoid it but KK manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kaplan to the ground. Kaplan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. KK gets a clinch. KK jumps guard but Kaplan stands there with KK around his waist. KK gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

KK throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kaplan's waist but Kaplan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing KK off to one side. KK avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaplan wants to clinch. Kaplan tries to clinch up. Kaplan lands with a nice body punch. Kaplan tries to close the distance and clinch up but KK swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kaplan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Kaplan shoots in but KK avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. KK fails miserably with a takedown attempt. KK keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that's the end of the fight! Cumhur Kaplan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kaplan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
