Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maushihiro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maushihiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ribeiro.
Maushihiro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ribeiro, pushing him back against the cage.
Maushihiro with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Maushihiro is pushing Ribeiro up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Maushihiro tightens his grip and picks Ribeiro up, before dumping him to the ground. Ribeiro manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Maushihiro drops back looking for a leg! Ribeiro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ribeiro manages to kick Maushihiro off! Maushihiro jumps back into Ribeiro's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
