Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between gerwyn jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Larusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larusso rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Larusso shoots for a double leg takedown but jones sprawls well. He's pushed Larusso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Larusso fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

gerwyn jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Larusso has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
jones is persistently looking for the submission but Larusso is defending it well.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - jones's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

jones is trying to stick to Larusso's back but Larusso is turning into jones. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in jones's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Larusso.
