Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teemu Jokallainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Arts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arts shoots in but Jokallainen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Arts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Arts tries to clinch but Jokallainen moves out of range.

Arts fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jokallainen, pushing him back against the cage.
Arts looking for a takedown.
Arts gets underhooks to prevent Jokallainen's takedown attempt.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Arts ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Arts no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Arts keeping full guard, as Jokallainen tries to pass.
Jokallainen controlling from the top position.
Arts throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Arts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jokallainen controls the pace.
Jokallainen wants to control from the top but Arts keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Teemu Jokallainen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Arts misses with a takedown

and Jokallainen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Arts won't be happy with that.
Teemu Jokallainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bas Arts.

Jokallainen stands up.

Jokallainen rushes Arts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Jokallainen's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Arts gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jokallainen tries to get to full guard but Arts has control of the leg.
Jokallainen is trying to control but can't.

Jokallainen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jokallainen pulls Arts in close to prevent any damage.

Jokallainen is working an open guard so Arts takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Arts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jokallainen pinned against the cage. Jokallainen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jokallainen tries to clinch but Arts moves out of range.

Jokallainen slaps away a takedown attempt from Arts, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jokallainen blocks the body kick.
Arts looks gassed!

Jokallainen drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jokallainen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Jokallainen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jokallainen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A bit of stalling here from Jokallainen.

Jokallainen has picked Arts up - he's going for a ride! Jokallainen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jokallainen moves nicely into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jokallainen throws an elbow but Arts slips to the side and avoids it well.
Arts trying to remain calm as Jokallainen controls from the top position.

Jokallainen decides to stand up, so the ref orders Arts to his feet.
Arts shoots for a takedown but Jokallainen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jokallainen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jokallainen somewhat.
Arts misses with a body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jokallainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teemu Jokallainen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Arts fails with the takedown

and Jokallainen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jokallainen.

Jokallainen drops back looking for a leg! Arts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arts manages to kick Jokallainen off! Jokallainen jumps back into Arts's guard.

Jokallainen is looking to take a break and control but Arts is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Arts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jokallainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Arts is looking to control Jokallainen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Arts avoid being mounted?
Jokallainen perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Jokallainen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jokallainen trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Arts tries to reverse the position but Jokallainen maintains control.
Jokallainen is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Arts is looking to improve his position but Jokallainen isn't that keen on the idea.
Arts is breathing heavily.
Arts throws a strike but has given up his back in the process.

Arts avoids the strikes from Jokallainen.

Jokallainen is cranking Arts's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Arts! He's tightened the choke and Arts is tapping out!
