Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Santos Kazashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Lipovscak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Santos Kazashi looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Santos Kazashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Lipovscak! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lipovscak closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Santos Kazashi quickly recovers to half guard. Santos Kazashi looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lipovscak controlling the pace. Lipovscak wants to take a breather but Santos Kazashi is having none of it.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Daniel Lipovscak wasn't active enough on the ground. Santos Kazashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lipovscak but Lipovscak pushes him off and we're back to square one. Santos Kazashi gets caught napping as Lipovscak dives in and scores a takedown. Santos Kazashi manages to retain guard. Santos Kazashi wants to sweep but no luck. Lipovscak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Santos Kazashi is keeping the position for now. Lipovscak sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lipovscak drops back looking for a leg! Santos Kazashi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos Kazashi manages to kick Lipovscak off! Lipovscak jumps back into Santos Kazashi's guard. Lipovscak wants to get up but he can't break Santos Kazashi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lipovscak's corner is telling him to maintain position. Lipovscak gets to his feet. Santos Kazashi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Lipovscak has closed the distance and engaged Santos Kazashi in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lipovscak tries to break free but Santos Kazashi pushes him back against the cage. Lipovscak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lipovscak pulls guard successfully.
Lipovscak pulls Santos Kazashi in to control the position. Santos Kazashi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lipovscak is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Santos Kazashi, into his guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lipovscak stands up and waves to Santos Kazashi to follow him. This has been an exciting period of action! Lipovscak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lipovscak sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

It looks like Lipovscak might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Lipovscak trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lipovscak pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lipovscak closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Santos Kazashi's guard. Lipovscak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lipovscak must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lipovscak showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Let's hope that Lipovscak has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Lipovscak was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lipovscak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos Kazashi swats him away and circles back towards the center. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lipovscak looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lipovscak turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Lipovscak trying to control the position but Santos Kazashi is working away. Lipovscak in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Santos Kazashi is trying to get back to half guard. Lipovscak tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Santos Kazashi is looking to regain half guard here but Lipovscak keeps moving and retains side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lipovscak stands up.

Lipovscak trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos Kazashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lipovscak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santos Kazashi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lipovscak slips nicely into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lipovscak is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Santos Kazashi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lipovscak. Santos Kazashi flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Lipovscak looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lipovscak wants to work for an arm triangle but Santos Kazashi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lipovscak takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Santos Kazashi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lipovscak pulls his head out easily. Lipovscak decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lipovscak shoots in and gets a takedown into Santos Kazashi's guard. Santos Kazashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lipovscak is aware though and is defending well. Lipovscak slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lipovscak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Santos Kazashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Lipovscak tries to sprawl out of it but Santos Kazashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lipovscak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lipovscak tries to clinch but Santos Kazashi moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lipovscak throws a series of strikes that have Santos Kazashi backpedaling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Lipovscak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Daniel Lipovscak has got the better of the ground game so far. Lipovscak throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Santos Kazashi because Lipovscak loaded up on that one. Lipovscak looking to secure an arm triangle but Santos Kazashi defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos Kazashi throwing hammer fists to the chest of Lipovscak. What's that going to do exactly? Lipovscak trying to control but he's not successful this time. Santos Kazashi throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Lipovscak controlling the position easily from mount. Lipovscak with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Michael Santos Kazashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lipovscak has control of Santos Kazashi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Santos Kazashi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Lipovscak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lipovscak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
