The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kottari misses with an uppercut.
De Groot fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
De Groot moves out of range as Kottari strikes.
A nice leg kick lands there from De Groot.
De Groot scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
De Groot lands a head kick. Kottari smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kottari closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. De Groot did well to prevent Kottari getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
De Groot tries to kick Kottari off in order to stand up. Kottari Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

De Groot takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
De Groot could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kottari cracks De Groot with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kottari immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! De Groot is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kottari!
