Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ellic McCrae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Rojas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rojas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Brother Ali - Uncle Sam Goddamn. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arturo Rojas!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCrae throws a hook but Rojas avoids it easily.
Rojas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McCrae misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Rojas as he connects with a hook.
McCrae with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rojas to score with a decent uppercut.
A telegraphed right hand from McCrae misses the target.
Rojas stuns McCrae with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
McCrae lands a nice shot to the body.
Rojas falls off balance throwing a combination
and McCrae counters with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rojas throws a nice looking combination but McCrae bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McCrae lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rojas throws a head kick that McCrae semi-blocks.
Rojas thows a body shot but no joy.
Rojas lands a nice shot that snaps McCrae's head back.
Arturo Rojas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCrae throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rojas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McCrae fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rojas lands a lovely overhand right.
McCrae throws an off balance right hand
and Rojas counters with a series of strikes. McCrae will be more careful next time no doubt.
McCrae takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rojas slips a jab from McCrae.
McCrae moves out of range as Rojas throws a body kick.
McCrae walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rojas lands with a cross.
McCrae ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rojas moves away.
McCrae shoots in but Rojas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ellic McCrae. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCrae has his takedown stuffed
and Rojas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rojas cracks McCrae with a right hand to the side of the head.
Rojas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McCrae.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for McCrae. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
McCrae on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Arturo Rojas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rojas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rojas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rojas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McCrae.
Rojas looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
McCrae is breathing heavily.
That kick from Rojas tenderised McCrae's leg. McCrae is trying to keep his angry face on.
McCrae takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rojas with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Rojas lands a leg kick that knocks McCrae off balance momentarily.
McCrae on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rojas. Rojas obviously looking to wear him down.
McCrae has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rojas.

Rojas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McCraes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McCrae is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Rojas connects with a jab.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rojas.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rojas.
McCrae tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Good leg kick by Rojas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rojas stuns McCrae with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rojas connects with an inside leg kick.
Rojas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! McCrae had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Rojas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McCrae.

Rojas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Rojas cracks McCrae with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rojas has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McCrae to stand back up!

McCrae is rocked!
Rojas looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Rojas backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks McCrae's temple! It sends McCrae violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Rojas celebrates and the doctors try to help McCrae!
