Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rude comes to the cage accompanied by Face fucked by PISSING RAZORS. Abbott has chosen War Ensemble - Slayer as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Abbott was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Rude! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Abbott! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbott takes a swing at Rude's ribcage but misses. Rude gets caught napping as Abbott dives in and scores a takedown. Rude manages to retain guard. Rude controlling the position. Abbott wants to control from the top but Rude keeps moving. Abbott distracts Rude with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Abbott postures up in Rude's guard and throws a big left but Rude blocks it. Rude lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Abbott! Rude controlling his opponent. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Abbott can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott just holding on. Rude controlling from mount. Rude tries to control but Abbott wriggling away.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rick Rude wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rude fails in his attempt to clinch. Rude ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abbott moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rude swings for the body but Abbott moves out of range.
Rude misses with a right hand and Abbott counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rude thinking. Abbott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rude looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rude swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Abbott closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Rude cracks Abbott with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Abbott misses the shot to the body. Abbott with a nice cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rude scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Abbott. Abbott misses with an uppercut. Rude saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rude ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abbott moves away. Good standup being displayed there by Rude as he connects with a hook. Nice defenses there by Abbott. Rude connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Abbott avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Abbott defending well as Rude loads up on a big left hand. Abbott throws an off balance right hand
and Rude counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rude misses with an uppercut. Abbott saw that one coming. Abbott swings for the body but Rude moves out of range.
Rude looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rude throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rude misses with a hook. Abbott ducked under it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abbott takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Rude lands with a straight right. Abbott didn't see that one coming. Rude pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rude thows a left - swing and a miss! A nice combination there by Rude.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rude avoids the body shot from Abbott.
Abbott defending well as Rude loads up on a big left hand. Rude is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Abbott avoids a punch combination nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Abbott shoots in and bounces Rude off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Rude dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Abbott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rude manages to avoid it. Rude is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Abbott scores with a hook to the body. Rude takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Abbott is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rude rather than just go for the knockout. Rude looks to score with a jab to the body but Abbott is just out of range. Abbott closes the distance and clinches up with Rude, looking for a takedown. Abbott pushes Rude against the cage but Rude circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Abbott shoots in and gets a takedown into Rude's guard. Abbott preventing the sweep. Rude wants to stand and escape but Abbott is having none of it. Abbott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rude swivels though and keeps the full guard. Abbott stops Rude from standing up. Abbott trying to control the position from guard on top but Rude is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott pushing down on Rude's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Abbott throwing shots but Rude is blocking nicely. Abbott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Abbott drops an elbow to the side of Rude's head. Well, if Abbott is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Abbott wants to free his trapped foot but Rude is holding on for dear life with his legs. Abbott seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rude does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rude trying to control here.

Mark Abbott has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Abbott throws a shot from downtown. Rude moves away and avoids it. Rude moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Rude throws out a loose jab but Abbott uses good head movement to avoid it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rude connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Abbott scores with a punch to the head. Rude drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Rude lands with a cross. Rude throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rude swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rude blocks a jab.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rude looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Abbott throws a jab but it's blocked by Rude.

Abbott looks to score with a jab to the body but Rude is just out of range. Rude stalks Abbott and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Abbott's face. Abbott staggers backwards, shaken. Rude misses with a two punch combination.
Rude gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rude throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Abbott shoots for a double leg takedown but Rude sprawls well. He's pushed Abbott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rude looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rude misses the shot to the body. Abbott jabs Rude to the body, keeping him at a distance. Abbott is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rude. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mark Abbott will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Rude's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Rude takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rude misses the jab. Abbott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Abbott is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rude's half guard. Rude wants to get back to full guard. Abbott wants to control but Rude is keeping him busy. Rude tries to roll over but Abbott keeps him under control. Still in half guard, Abbott seems content to control. Abbott's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Abbott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rude keeps working.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Abbott wasn't active enough on the ground. Abbott takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Abbott fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rude moves out of range of the strikes. Rude scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Abbott misses with a straight left. Abbott misses with a hook. Rude ducked under it nicely. Rude takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rude has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Abbott finds it's way round the side to connect with Rude's head. Abbott scores with a hook to the body. Rude takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Rude misses with a double jab.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rude wants to control but Abbott is having none of it. Abbott trying to control but Rude is having none of it. Rude is in all sorts of trouble here.
