Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaiser Soze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corleone comes into the arena with The Godfather Waltz blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soze lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corleone circles away quickly and effectively.
Corleone avoids the body shot from Soze.
Soze misses with a straight left.
Soze cracks Corleone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Soze changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corleone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Corleone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Soze wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Soze tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Corleone struggling a bit here.
Soze in side control, throwing shots but Corleone defends.
Corleone is trying to control Soze's posture but Soze avoids it.
Corleone takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Corleone parries the strikes from Soze easily there. Soze is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Corleone to escape.
You can see the frustration on Corleone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corleone has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Soze throws a strike but Corleone rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Soze is pulling down on Corleone's head to control his posture.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Soze manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Corleone manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaiser Soze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Soze keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Corleone walks into a left hand.
Soze tries to keep at a distance but Corleone has taken the fight into the clinch.
Soze has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Corleone regains guard immediately.

Soze slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kaiser Soze.
Corleone moves out of range of the body kick.

Corleone bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Soze's head backwards.
Some wild striking there from Soze.
Corleone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Soze.
Soze connects with a body shot that sends Corleone's belly button to the back.
Soze dives in and scores a takedown into Corleone's guard.
Soze is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Soze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Corleone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Soze looking to sit in guard and control but Corleone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Soze manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Soze closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Soze is looking to take a break and control but Corleone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sonny Corleone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Soze tries to score with some ground and pound. Corleone controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Soze is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Corleone has escaped the position, nice work there.
Corleone tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kaiser Soze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Soze winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Kaiser Soze started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
