Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frazier Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George DeLuca!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane throws a right hand that DeLuca ducks under and follows up with a left that DeLuca also avoids with ease.
DeLuca throws a hook but Crane avoids it easily.
Crane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
DeLuca throws a hook to the side of Crane's head but Crane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Crane motions for DeLuca to come forward. Crane throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

DeLuca throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crane was covering up waiting for the punch and DeLuca finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Crane avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

DeLuca drops back looking for a leg! Crane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Crane manages to kick DeLuca off! DeLuca jumps back into Crane's guard.
DeLuca makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DeLuca thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Crane is trying to keep DeLuca in close.
DeLuca lands a couple of digs.
DeLuca has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
DeLuca throwing strikes from guard but Crane blocks nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Crane is looking for a triangle but DeLuca pushes his legs off easily.
DeLuca slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

DeLuca is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crane has escaped the position, nice work there.

DeLuca is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Crane is trying to escape and DeLuca transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Crane is forced to tap! Nice work there by DeLuca! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). George DeLuca!
George DeLuca was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
