PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Misual Lal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dana White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lal comes to the cage accompanied by Rocky Theme Song. Dana White looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White just misses with a punch to the body.
Lal tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. White manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lal gets caught flat footed, as White shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Lal had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. White defends it easily.

Lal isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. White stacks Lal on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by White!
You can see the frustration on Lal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lal tries to buck White off but White is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Misual Lal will probably get the nod.

White leaves Lal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Misual Lal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lal gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lal goes for a takedown in the clinch but White prevents it.

White lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lal tries to kick White off but White keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

White is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Lal reverses the position - he's now on top in White's guard.
White is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

White doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Lal stands and steps away. White gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

White throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Lal connects with a body shot that sends White's belly button to the back.

Lal shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lal is defended easily by White.
White defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lal.
White swings and misses with a hook to the body.
White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lal was well out of range. Poor timing from White.
Lal closes the distance and clinches up with White, looking for a takedown. Lal pushes White against the cage but White circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
