Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rey Mesterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mesterio comes into the arena with Be A Warrior blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rey Mesterio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Mcracken! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Mcracken with that takedown attempt. Mesterio tries a head kick but it misses.
Mesterio closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcracken to the mat! Mcracken manages to get full guard. Mcracken has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Mesterio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mcracken lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mesterio! Mcracken lands with some strikes. Mesterio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcracken on the ground. Mcracken lands with some strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mesterio tries to lock up and control but Mcracken gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mcracken controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mesterio can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcracken landing strikes, looking to finish! Mcracken content just to control the position here. Mesterio takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Mesterio wants to hold on but Mcracken pushes him away. Mcracken lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mesterio hang on? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mcracken working Mesterio over with strikes here. Mcracken controlling from the full mount. Mesterio tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mesterio tries to hold on but Mcracken pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcracken pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mcracken raining down hammerfists from mount. Mcracken lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Mesterio is rocked! Mesterio is breathing heavily. Mcracken takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mcracken scoring with strikes but Mesterio is staying in there. Oh Mesterio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcracken content just to control the position here. Mesterio seems to have got his legs back now. Mcracken scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Mcracken tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mcracken cracks Mesterio with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mesterio tries to reverse the position but Mcracken maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcracken raining down shots from the mount! Mcracken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mcracken is working for a guillotine from mount but Mesterio frees his head quite easily.
Mcracken putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Mcracken landing punches. Mesterio is bucking up trying to escape but Mcracken cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcracken takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mcracken with good strikes from the mount here! Mcracken with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcracken is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mesterio is surviving well by controlling Mcracken's body position as best he can. Mcracken pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mcracken looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Mcracken content just to control the position here. Mcracken with good strikes from the mount here! Mesterio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mcracken raining down hammerfists from mount. Mcracken controlling from the full mount. Mcracken unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Mcracken dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mcracken looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mcracken is working Mesterio over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Mcracken is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mcracken pushes down on Mesterio's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mcracken has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mcracken cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mesterio tries to hold on but Mcracken postures up. Mesterio in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mcracken lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcracken looking to control and managing it successfully. Mcracken is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mesterio to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mesterio shrugs it off. Mcracken tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mcracken lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mcracken cracks Mesterio with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mcracken has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mesterio's face.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mcracken loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mesterio scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Mcracken land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Mcracken stands and salutes the crowd.
