The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolshakov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Voronkoff did well to prevent Bolshakov getting side control.
Voronkoff is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Voronkoff moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Voronkoff uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Bolshakov avoids the head kick by Voronkoff.
Andrey Voronkoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Bolshakov does no damage.

Bolshakov tries to stand but Voronkoff is controlling from the bottom.
Voronkoff is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Bolshakov jumps into guard, dragging Voronkoff to the mat.

Voronkoff takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Voronkoff throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Voronkoff is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bolshakov defends it well.
Voronkoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bolshakov keeps working.

Voronkoff shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bolshakov is trying to defend but Voronkoff finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
