Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buster Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slater Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen "Fight Music" by D12 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buster Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Slater Thomas! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a wild combination.
A head kick misses from Brown. Thomas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown's waist but Brown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thomas off to one side. Brown fails with the takedown and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown. Brown fights it but they end up in guard. Brown looking for a guillotine here but Thomas defends easily.
Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas slips nicely into half guard. Thomas tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brown controls his leg. Thomas not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Thomas wants to take a breather but Brown is having none of it. Brown is holding on to half guard well. Thomas wants to stand up but Brown has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. Brown is trying to maintain the position but Thomas is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Thomas looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Thomas misses with a few strikes there.
Thomas swings away with a leg kick that misses. Brown scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A control attempt from Thomas but he's now mounted! Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Brown controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thomas is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Slater Thomas will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Thomas counters with a big head kick but Brown shrugs it off. Thomas feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Thomas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Brown pulls Thomas in close to prevent any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brown is on top in guard.
Brown is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brown gets to his feet. Thomas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Thomas thows a body shot but no joy. Brown tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thomas as he jumps to the side. Brown throws a head kick that misses. Thomas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thomas won't be happy with that. Thomas is not content to let Brown control the position. Brown throws an elbow but Thomas slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown stands up and we're back to a striking position. Thomas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brown.
Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Brown controlling the position. Thomas wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Thomas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brown advances to mount. Thomas is trying desperately to improve position. Brown controlling his opponent. Thomas is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Thomas wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Brown.
Thomas tries to improve his position but instead Brown has taken his back! Brown looking for the choke from the back. Brown tries to keep control of the position but Thomas is staying busy. Brown misses with an elbow to the head. Brown struggling to land strikes to the head as Thomas covers up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buster Brown dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Thomas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Thomas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Brown scores with a takedown into Thomas's guard. Thomas keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Thomas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Buster Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brown tries to get to full guard but Thomas has control of the leg. Thomas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Thomas controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown trying to hold on to Thomas's head to control him but Thomas postures up.
Brown looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Thomas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brown is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Thomas content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Thomas wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Brown is just out of range. Thomas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Thomas wants to clinch. Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thomas, right into the meat.
Thomas misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Thomas tries to clinch there but Brown circles away.
Slater Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown has closed the distance and engaged Thomas in a clinch.
Thomas tries to score a body lock takedown but Brown shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Buster Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slater Thomas. Brown wants a takedown.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Thomas. Thomas jumps guard and drags Brown to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Thomas looking to control.
Thomas tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brown decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Thomas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thomas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Thomas tries to get to full guard but Brown has control of the leg. And that's the end of the fight! Buster Brown showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brown has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
