PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lenny is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swanson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lenny is breathing heavily.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Swanson wants to control from the top but Lenny keeps moving.

Swanson drops back looking for a leg! Lenny is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lenny manages to kick Swanson off! Swanson jumps back into Lenny's guard.
Lenny might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Swanson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Swanson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Swanson pushes down on Lenny's leg and manages to get into half guard.
