Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Junior looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Junior shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Junior's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva tries to clinch there but Junior circles away.

Junior feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Junior changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Silva manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Junior manages to control the position for a moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Junior counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Silva is looking to reverse the position.
Junior content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Junior wants to control for a moment but Silva uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Junior thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jose Silva will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Silva ducks under a wild hook from Junior.
Junior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Junior off to one side.

Junior has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Junior wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Junior is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Junior turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Junior manages to end up in side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Junior lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Silva is in all sorts of trouble here.

Junior has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silva wants to control but Junior is having none of it.
Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Junior cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Junior lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Junior looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Silva covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Jorge Junior tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
