0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andre Mckinly! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckinly looks for a takedown but Gibbs sprawls well. Gibbs slaps away a takedown attempt from Mckinly, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mckinly wants to clinch but Gibbs slips to the side and Gibbs counters with a nice leg kick. Gibbs throws a quick inside leg kick. Gibbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Mckinly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gibbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That kick from Gibbs tenderised Mckinly's leg. Mckinly is trying to keep his angry face on. Mckinly looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mckinly on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gibbs. Gibbs obviously looking to wear him down.
Andre Mckinly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gibbs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Good leg kick by Gibbs there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gibbs winds up and cracks Mckinly with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Gibbs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mckinly with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mckinly is rocked! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gibbs connects with a nice short shot to Mckinly's temple. Mckinly is still in real trouble! Can Gibbs finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gibbs is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mckinly is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gibbs fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mckinly from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gibbs! Great finish!
