Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thor Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong tries to clinch
and Hardy counters with a two punch combo.
Hardy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Armstrong circles away quickly and effectively.
Armstrong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hardy stuffs the takedown attempt from Armstrong. Armstrong gets slowly back to his feet.
Hardy goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Armstrong swings for the body but Hardy moves out of range.
Armstrong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hardy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thor Armstrong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hardy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A solid body kick from Hardy.
No luck for Armstrong with that takedown attempt.
Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hardy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hardy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Armstrong's sensitive parts.
Armstrong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hardy. That one must have hurt.
George Hardy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Armstrong is breathing heavily.
Hardy lands a big head kick that sends Armstrong tumbling to the mat! Hardy takes a step backwards and waves Armstrong back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Armstrong is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hardy looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Hardy backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Armstrong's temple! It sends Armstrong violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Hardy celebrates and the doctors try to help Armstrong!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). George Hardy!
