Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Takaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takaya comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jimi Hendrix - All along the Watchtower kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Tucker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yoshihiro Takaya! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tucker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Takaya counters with a stiff right hand. Takaya cracks Tucker with an open hand slap. Tucker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Takaya. Takaya swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tucker clobbers Takaya with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Takaya keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tucker misses with a double jab.
A combination from Takaya does no damage. Takaya shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tucker defends it nicely. Tucker connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tucker connects with a body shot that sends Takaya's belly button to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tucker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tucker looks to land a combination. Takaya sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Tucker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takaya was well out of range. Poor timing from Tucker. Tucker's corner calls for a 1-2. Tucker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Takaya closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Tucker looks to throw the jab but Takaya is out of range. Tucker looks to throw the jab but Takaya is out of range. Takaya misses with a few strikes there.
Tucker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takaya was well out of range. Poor timing from Tucker. Takaya lands a nice shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tucker, as that shot connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takaya blocks a low kick nicely. Tucker misses with a body shot
and Takaya counters with a stiff right hand. Tom Tucker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tucker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Takaya.
Takaya throws a right hand that Tucker ducks under and follows up with a left that Tucker also avoids with ease. Takaya blocks a jab. Tucker throws a hook to the side of Takaya's head but Takaya sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tucker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tucker wants it to stay on the feet. Tom Tucker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshihiro Takaya. This has been an exciting period of action! Tucker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Takaya counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tucker thinking. Takaya looks to land a combination. Tucker sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Takaya throws an overhand right that lands on Tucker's shoulder, as Tucker tries to avoid the shot. Takaya lands a head shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tucker throws a right hand that Takaya ducks under and follows up with a left that Takaya also avoids with ease. A punch combination from Tucker misses. Takaya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Takaya tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tucker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Takaya is working for a kimura but Tucker is defending it quite comfortably.
Takaya is looking for a kimura but Tucker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Takaya to get the leverage. Tucker wants to control but Takaya is keeping busy and won't allow it. Takaya is trying to control. Tucker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Takaya working the head and body with strikes. Tucker trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takaya is looking to take a break and control but Tucker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Takaya not doing much here.
Tucker is looking for a sweep. Takaya is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takaya is trying to control. Tucker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tucker is looking to improve his position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Takaya takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Yoshihiro Takaya hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Tucker just misses with a punch to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tucker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takaya looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tucker is fending him off so far but Takaya persists. Nope, Tucker circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Yoshihiro Takaya will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Takaya closes the distance and pushes Tucker back into the cage. Takaya is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A frustrated look appears on Tucker's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tucker tries to throw a body punch but Takaya avoids it by throwing Tucker back against the cage. Tucker doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Takaya is trying to trip Tucker. He has hold of a leg but Tucker is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Takaya persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Tucker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Takaya trying to control the position from guard on top but Tucker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tucker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Takaya works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takaya uses his free foot to push down on Tucker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tucker. Takaya prevents Tucker from getting the reversal. Takaya takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Takaya dominating with strikes here. Takaya breaks from Tucker's wrist control and lands an elbow. Takaya with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Takaya cracks Tucker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Takaya tries to control but Tucker wriggling away. Tucker is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takaya with shots to the head and body - Tucker looks very uncomfortable down there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takaya putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Takaya trying to control but he's not successful this time. Takaya landing strikes from the mount. The referee warns Tucker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tucker is rocked! Takaya unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Tucker wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Takaya celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yoshihiro Takaya! A very excited looking Yoshihiro Takaya made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
