Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between White Widow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Barris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White Widow has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, White Widow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Barris! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Widow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Widow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barris avoids it really well and circles away. Widow fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for White Widow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barris gets tackled into the cage by Widow. Widow maintains the clinch. Widow is pressed up against the cage. Barris has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Widow down to the mat. Widow avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Barris shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Widow sprawls well. Widow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barris gets slowly back to his feet. Widow is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Widow as Barris shoots in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Widow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Barris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Widow swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barris trying to control but Widow is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Widow keeping full guard, as Barris tries to pass. Barris throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Widow wants to stand but Barris is controlling the position. Barris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Widow is keeping the position for now. Widow thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Barris stops Widow from standing up. Barris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Widow keeping moving, preventing Barris from controlling successfully. Barris lands a couple of decent looking shots. Widow tries to land a sweep but no joy. Barris drops back looking for a leg! Widow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Widow manages to kick Barris off! Barris jumps back into Widow's guard. Widow wants to stand and escape but Barris is having none of it. Barris wants to pass the guard but Widow is keeping the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barris thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Widow is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Widow turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Widow seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Barris gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Barris is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Widow scores with a couple of nice shots. Widow throwing shots but Barris is blocking nicely. Barris is looking to control Widow's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Barris avoid being mounted? Widow prevents Barris from improving his position. Barris is not content to let Widow control the position. Barris is trying to maintain the position but Widow is very close to passing his half guard. Widow looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barris with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Barris looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Barris keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Widow looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Widow working the head and body with strikes. Widow throws a strike but Barris avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Barris wants to sweep but no luck. This has been an exciting period of action! Barris is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Widow rolls with it to try and escape but Barris cranks on the arm and Widow is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
