Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thor Gundersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gundersson comes to the cage accompanied by Ride of the Valkyries. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oleg The Beast! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Beast stuffs the takedown attempt from Gundersson. Gundersson gets slowly back to his feet. Gundersson misses with a two punch combination.
The Beast tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gundersson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gundersson dives in and grabs The Beast's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Beast pushes down on Gundersson's head and hops out. The Beast closes the distance and clinches. The Beast breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gundersson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Beast to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gundersson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The Beast is trying to stand up here but Gundersson is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Beast actively working from the bottom here. The Beast is trying to stand.
Gundersson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gundersson wants to control but The Beast is keeping him busy. The Beast makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Gundersson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Beast tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gundersson is in The Beast's guard. The Beast has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gundersson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Gundersson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gundersson is breathing heavily. The Beast pushes Gundersson off and gets back to his feet. Oleg The Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The Beast pushes Gundersson up against the cage in a clinch. The Beast manages to break the clinch.

The Beast blocks a jab. The Beast goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The Beast clinches up against the cage. The Beast working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Beast misses with a knee to the head. Gundersson wants to break free but The Beast has control.
The referee calls for The Beast to work.
Gundersson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. The Beast fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gundersson misses with a takedown and The Beast counters with a big head kick but Gundersson shrugs it off. The Beast moves into the clinch. The Beast keeps control of Gundersson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Gundersson misses with a knee to the head. The Beast breaks from the clinch.
Gundersson tries to sprawl but The Beast drives through with a takedown into half guard. The Beast decides to return to a standing position. Gundersson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The Beast missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The Beast escapes and gets back to his feet. The Beast gets the takedown into side control. Gundersson is letting The Beast control him for a moment. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The Beast stands up and beckons Gundersson to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg The Beast dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The Beast closes the distance and clinches up with Gundersson, looking for a takedown. The Beast pushes Gundersson against the cage but Gundersson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The Beast throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The Beast changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gundersson tries to avoid it but The Beast manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gundersson to the ground. Gundersson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The Beast fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gundersson to the ground. The Beast is now in Gundersson's guard. Gundersson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The Beast stands up from Gundersson's guard - The Beast perhaps looking for a knockout. Gundersson takes the fight into the clinch. Gundersson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. The Beast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. The Beast avoids a punch combination nicely.
The Beast feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gundersson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The Beast is standing up over Gundersson. Gundersson looks to escape but The Beast dives into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The Beast has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by The Beast!
The Beast fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gundersson sprawls well initially but The Beast persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The Beast stops Gundersson from getting back to his feet.
The Beast is trying to control the action in half guard but Gundersson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with The Beast in particular looking to stall. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The Beast stands up from half guard. Gundersson tries to clinch but The Beast is having none of it. The Beast drives through with a takedown into Gundersson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The Beast slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The Beast stands up from guard. Let's bang!

The Beast darts in and clinches Gundersson up against the cage. The Beast connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gundersson's face.
Gundersson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gundersson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gundersson controlling the position. The Beast gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The Beast pushes Gundersson up against the cage in a clinch. Gundersson breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gundersson tries to sprawl but The Beast drives through with a takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The Beast not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Beast stalling. The Beast's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Gundersson blocking the ground and pound attempt from The Beast. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg The Beast showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Gundersson misses with a combination
and The Beast counters with a takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by The Beast. The Beast decides to stand back up. Gundersson fails with the takedown and The Beast counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gundersson! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The Beast controlling from the full mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Oleg The Beast hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Gundersson closes this distance looking for a takedown but The Beast circles away. The Beast shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The Beast decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gundersson, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Beast is looking to clinch. The Beast instigates a clinch. The Beast lands an elbow that stopped Gundersson in his tracks for a moment. Gundersson wants a takedown.

Thor Gundersson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The Beast gets the takedown into side control. The Beast is looking to take a break and control but Gundersson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gundersson tries to improve position but can't. The Beast decides to stand back up. The Beast steps back and let's Gundersson get back to his feet.

Gundersson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. The Beast's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gundersson gets caught flat footed, as The Beast shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The Beast throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gundersson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gundersson wants to stand and escape but The Beast is having none of it. Oleg The Beast has got the better of the ground game so far. The Beast gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The Beast forces Gundersson back against the cage and clinches. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gundersson working aggressively here.
The Beast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The Beast tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Oleg The Beast is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The Beast shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
And that's the end of the fight! Oleg The Beast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well The Beast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
