Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renan Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Eko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renan Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mr Eko! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eko listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Eko shoots for a takedown but Liddell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Eko throws a big shot that misses. Liddell throws out a leg kick but Eko moves out of range and Liddell only half commits. Liddell slips a straight right by Eko. Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Eko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Eko stuns Liddell with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Eko tries to clinch but Liddell moves away and Liddell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eko's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eko trying to keep a closed guard but Liddell is proving a slippery customer.
Eko is controlling Liddell's posture. Eko wants to stand and escape but Liddell is having none of it. Liddell showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Eko keeping full guard, as Liddell tries to pass. Liddell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Eko is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Eko has escaped and now he's on top! Liddell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Liddell is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Liddell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Liddell working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Eko. Liddell pulls Eko in to control the position. Eko thows a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell keeping moving, preventing Eko from controlling successfully. Eko tries to stand but Liddell is controlling from the bottom. Eko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Eko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Eko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Liddell takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Renan Liddell has been cut. Eko tries to clinch and Liddell counters with a single leg into guard. Eko didn't expect that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eko is trying to keep Liddell in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Liddell postures up.
Liddell won't allow Eko to get back to his feet. Eko has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Liddell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Eko wants to clinch and Liddell counters by clinching up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Liddell gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Eko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Eko fails with the takedown and Liddell counters by clinching up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mr Eko will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Renan Liddell's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Liddell instigates a clinch. Eko stalling.
Eko landing knees to the body.
Eko jumps guard.
Eko is looking to stand up but Liddell isn't so interested in that idea. Eko has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Liddell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Liddell tries to clinch up but Eko circles away and keeps his distance. Eko fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Eko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Eko gets a clinch. Eko is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Liddell is keeping busy. Eko lands a left hand.
Eko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Renan Liddell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Eko forces Liddell back against the cage and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Eko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Liddell moves forwards but Eko connects with a nice, crisp jab. Eko scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Liddell takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eko darts in trying to clinch and Liddell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Liddell. Eko lands on the inside with an uppercut. Eko breaks from the clinch.
Liddell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A head kick misses from Eko. Eko is looking to clinch but Liddell is avoiding it.
Eko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Liddell.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Eko. Eko is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Liddell keeps the fight on the outside. Eko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fight stays on the outside here - Liddell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Liddell.
Liddell decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Liddell slows the pace down in half guard. Liddell is tying to control. Eko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Eko is trying to escape back to his feet but Liddell uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Liddell happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Liddell is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Eko's shoulder. That is not cool. Liddell trying to control the action but Eko is working from the bottom. Liddell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Eko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Liddell controlling from side mount. Liddell in side control lands a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Eko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Renan Liddell's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Liddell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Liddell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Eko tries to buck Liddell off but he can't manage it. Liddell is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Liddell!
