The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anello connects with a looping right hand.
Calogero Anello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anello lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Molina just misses with a punch to the body.
Anello throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Anello thuds his right hand into Molina's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Anello lands a really nice looking cross but Molina seems unphased.
Anello lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Molina on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Anello looks to land a body kick but Molina moved away.
Anello dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Molina. That did some damage!
Anello cracks Molina with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Good leg kick by Anello there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Anello cracks Molina with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Molina swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Molina takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Anello connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Anello ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Molina moves away.

No joy there for Molina, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anello misses with a straight left.
Molina swings for the body but Anello moves out of range.
Anello drops his hands momentarily and Molina takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Anello connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Molina is breathing heavily.
Anello lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Anello.
Molina is looking to wear down Anello with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Anello jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Molina doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Anello throws a right and a left that Molina avoids nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Calogero Anello dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Molina gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Anello.
Anello lands with a hook. Molina tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Anello goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oh Molina is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Anello has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Anello connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Molina momentarily.

Anello lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Molina throws a shot from downtown. Anello moves away and avoids it.
Molina gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Anello gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Calogero Anello decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
