Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Ronan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hernando Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Promised Land. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cortez tries to clinch but Ronan moves out of range.
Cortez throws a looping overhand right but Ronan ducks down to avoid it.
Hernando Cortez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Ronan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cortez shoots in for a double leg but Ronan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Hernando Cortez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Elvis Ronan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
