The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monoshiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Monoshiro closes the distance looking to clinch
and Casey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Casey.
Casey lands a takedown into guard.
Monoshiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Monoshiro seems to be working for a kimura but Casey defends the submission attempt.
Casey regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Monoshiro.
Casey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Casey is on top in guard.
Monoshiro looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Casey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Monoshiro working for a triangle but Casey defends it easily.
Casey has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Monoshiro to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Casey is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Monoshiro pulls down on the head and he's put Casey to sleep! This one is all over!
