Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carolus Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Lincoln!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex connects with a leg kick. Lincoln looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lincoln tries to clinch there but Rex circles away.
Lincoln throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lincoln throws a right hand that Rex ducks under and follows up with a left that Rex also avoids with ease.
Carolus Rex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rex swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Lincoln fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rex, pushing him back against the cage.
Rex has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rex wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rex has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lincoln is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lincoln is trying to break the clinch but Rex is controlling him.
Lincoln has had enough of the clinch but Rex keeps him there for the moment.

Rex gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Lincoln tries to kick Rex off but Rex keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rex seems to be working for a kimura but Lincoln defends the submission attempt.
Lincoln scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rex manages to mount him!
Lincoln is looking to improve his position but Rex isn't that keen on the idea.
Lincoln is squirming around, avoiding Rex's attempts to control the action.

Rex working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Rex is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lincoln is surviving well by controlling Rex's body position as best he can.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rex thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Lincoln really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rex. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lincoln is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Rex quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Rex but it's paid off an Lincoln is forced to tap! Nice work by Rex.
