Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gideon Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes to the ring accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan-METHOD MAN . Turner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eye of the tiger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Method Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gideon Turner! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man rushes Turner and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Man jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turner walks away with a smile on his face. Man gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Man clinches with his opponent.
Man breaks from the clinch.
Turner tries to keep at a distance but Man has taken the fight into the clinch. Man fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A shot in the inside from Man. Man jumps guard but Turner turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Method Man. That's going to take a lot out of him. Man trying to land knees to the body.
Man tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Turner's elbow. Man connects with a nasty looking knee right to Turner's face.
Turner is trying to break free. Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turner throws a solid leg kick but Man takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Turner. Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Method Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner dives in and scores a takedown into Man's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Man utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Turner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Turner throws a strike but Man rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Man trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Man wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving. Man stands up and waves to Turner to follow him. Man closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Man gets in close and instigates a clinch. Man's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Man is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
Man leaves Turner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Turner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Man avoids the head kick by Turner.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turner moves away. Some bone on bone action there as Man checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Turner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Turner fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Turner walks into a stiff left hand from Man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner feints and as Man raises his hands in defense, Turner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Turner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Man's head. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Man holds on and takes a little breather. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Man is on top in guard.
Man trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom. Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Turner trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man gets to his feet. Turner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Turner looks gassed! Turner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Man moves into range and clinches up with Turner. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee calls for Man to work.
Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turner pushes Man up against the ropes in a clinch. Man with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Method Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Man wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Method Man dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice uppercut lands for Man. That snapped Turner's head back.
Man wants to clinch up but Turner keeps it at a distance. Turner shoots in and drives through. Man sprawls well. Turner connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Turner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Man avoids it really well and circles away. Man scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Turner dives in and scores a takedown into Man's guard. Turner throws a big right hand that misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Man is adopting a defensive guard. Turner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Man is working for a guillotine from mount but Turner frees his head quite easily.
Turner is breathing heavily. Man landing punches. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Man sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Man scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Turner can do anything to dispel that myth. Man controlling from the full mount. Man raining down shots from the mount! Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turner taking shots to the head. Man is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Turner is surviving well by controlling Man's body position as best he can. Man punishing his opponent with strikes. Method Man overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man landing shots from mount.
Turner is rocked! Man lands a big shot to the head and Turner winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
