Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hurley Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaq Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hurley Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shaq Diesel! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Diesel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Alves has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Alves and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Diesel scores with a takedown into Alves's guard. Alves looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diesel is one step ahead there. Alves is trying to control the position but Diesel postures up. Alves wants to stand and escape but Diesel is having none of it. Alves wants to sweep here but Diesel controlling him for the moment. Alves is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Diesel looking to pass the guard. Diesel cracks Alves with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diesel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alves swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diesel controlling from the top position. Alves is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alves is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Alves is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Alves had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Diesel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alves Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Diesel's back instead. Alves somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Diesel looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. I really don't envy Diesel right now.
Alves gets his hands free as Diesel looks to control. Diesel tries to roll but Alves sticks to his back.
Diesel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diesel holding both Alves 's hands and preventing any damage. Diesel trying to control the hands but Alves breaks the grip. Alves trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves trying to control momentarily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Diesel holding on to Alves's left wrist, preventing the choke. Alves missing with strikes. Diesel can't escape the position.
Diesel manages to reverse the position and now he's in Alves's guard. Nice work there by Diesel.
Diesel wants to stand and escape but instead Alves has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Alves wants to control from the top but Diesel keeps moving. Alves throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Alves stops Diesel from standing up. Alves has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Diesel is proving hard to escape from. Alves is breathing heavily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Diesel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alves sprawls well initially but Diesel persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Diesel trying to work for an americana but Alves has managed to regain full guard.
Diesel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Alves is trying to keep Diesel in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diesel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Diesel scores with a takedown into Alves's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shaq Diesel dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Alves doesn't succeed with the takedown and Diesel counters with a single leg into guard. Alves didn't expect that. Alves looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diesel is one step ahead there. Alves working a defensive guard here.

Alves lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Diesel! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diesel really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Diesel manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diesel is looking to improve his position.
Alves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diesel keeps working. Diesel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diesel is looking to control Alves's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diesel avoid being mounted? Diesel is trying to get back to full guard. Diesel is not content to let Alves control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Diesel defending well though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diesel can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alves drives through with a takedown into guard. Diesel keeping full guard, as Alves tries to pass. Diesel looking for a sweep. Not yet Diesel, not yet. Diesel trying to control the position here. Diesel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alves is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diesel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Diesel wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A nice combination there by Alves.

Alves shoots and misses and Diesel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Alves's guard now. Alves not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shaq Diesel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Diesel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Alves looks to clinch and Diesel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alves's guard. Diesel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Alves has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Diesel off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Alves fails with the takedown so Diesel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alves pulls Diesel in close to prevent any damage. Alves is trying to control the position from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alves is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diesel uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Alves will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Alves looks for a takedown but Diesel sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hurley Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diesel scores a takedown into full mount! Diesel wants to take his opponent's back but Alves doesn't allow it. Alves sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Alves is looking to control Diesel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alves avoid being mounted? Alves makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diesel circles away from the clinch attempt and Diesel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Alves's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Diesel stopping the sweep attempt from Alves. Diesel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Alves lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Diesel! Diesel is looking to get to half guard. Alves can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diesel is looking to escape. Diesel doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? A nice elbow there by Alves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Diesel is looking to get to half guard. Diesel tries to hold on but Alves pushes him away. Diesel is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Alves avoids the attempt from Diesel to control. Diesel is squirming around, avoiding Alves's attempts to control the action. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alves throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that's the end of the fight! Shaq Diesel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Diesel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
