Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jp Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khemkhaeng Kiet Sunan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benn comes into the arena with Icarus by Hopesfall blaring out of the sound system. Jp Benn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jp Benn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Khemkhaeng Kiet Sunan!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kiet Sunan scores with a takedown into Benn's guard.
Benn keeping moving, preventing Kiet Sunan from controlling successfully.
Kiet Sunan is working Benn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Benn is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kiet Sunan is aware though and is defending well.

Benn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kiet Sunan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kiet Sunan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kiet Sunan won't allow Benn to sweep him here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Benn has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Benn controls Kiet Sunan momentarily but Kiet Sunan frees himself.
Kiet Sunan throws a big elbow that misses.
Kiet Sunan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kiet Sunan stops Benn from standing up.
Kiet Sunan passes into half guard.

Kiet Sunan seems to be working for a kimura but Benn defends the submission attempt.
Benn has a hand on Kiet Sunan's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kiet Sunan takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You get the feeling that Benn really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Benn is desperately trying to improve his position but Kiet Sunan has a good base and remains in mount.

Benn sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Benn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kiet Sunan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Benn knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kiet Sunan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kiet Sunan blocks a low kick nicely.
Benn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Benn misses with a looping left.
Benn throws a front kick aimed at Kiet Sunan's knee but Kiet Sunan avoids it well.
Kiet Sunan thumps Benn with a low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Benn. No joy for Kiet Sunan on that attempt.
Kiet Sunan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Benn stuffs the takedown attempt from Kiet Sunan. Kiet Sunan gets slowly back to his feet.
Jp Benn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khemkhaeng Kiet Sunan.
Benn throws a hook but Kiet Sunan blocks it.
Kiet Sunan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kiet Sunan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Benn.

and Kiet Sunan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kiet Sunan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kiet Sunan slips a nice elbow through Benn's hands, connecting with Benn's forehead.
Kiet Sunan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Benn pushes Kiet Sunan off looking to stand but Kiet Sunan dives back in and keeps control.

Benn tries to roll over but Kiet Sunan keeps him under control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Benn is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Benn tries to hold on but Kiet Sunan pushes him away.
Benn is looking to get to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kiet Sunan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Benn tries to reverse the position but Kiet Sunan maintains control.
The referee warns Benn that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kiet Sunan lands with some strikes.
Oh Benn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kiet Sunan is working for a guillotine from mount but Benn frees his head quite easily.
Benn wants to use the ropes to get back to his feet here.
Benn wants to hold on but Kiet Sunan pushes him away.
Benn is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Benn seems to have got his legs back now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kiet Sunan scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Benn is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Khemkhaeng Kiet Sunan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kiet Sunan connects with a nice short shot to Benn's temple.

Khemkhaeng Kiet Sunan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kiet Sunan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
