Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khalid AlKatheer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rajesh Koothrappali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). AlKatheer comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Battery. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Khalid AlKatheer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rajesh Koothrappali! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! AlKatheer clinches up with Koothrappali and pushes him back against the cage. AlKatheer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
AlKatheer tries to close the distance and clinch but Koothrappali swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Koothrappali cracks AlKatheer with a right hand to the side of the head. AlKatheer moves into range and clinches up with Koothrappali. Koothrappali looking to slow down the pace here. Koothrappali has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. AlKatheer has hold of one of Koothrappali's legs. Koothrappali is fighting the takedown attempt but AlKatheer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. AlKatheer gets to his feet - Koothrappali follows without any prompting. AlKatheer fails with an attempt to clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! AlKatheer closes the distance and clinches. AlKatheer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. AlKatheer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Koothrappali lands a jab-cross combination. Koothrappali connects with a leg kick. AlKatheer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. AlKatheer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. AlKatheer closes the distance and clinches. Koothrappali is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. AlKatheer with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Koothrappali has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. AlKatheer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Koothrappali has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
AlKatheer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Koothrappali avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. AlKatheer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Koothrappali trying to stall but AlKatheer improves his position.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. AlKatheer manages to break the clinch.
AlKatheer tries to clinch but Koothrappali is having none of it. AlKatheer slips under a jab from Koothrappali. AlKatheer has closed the distance and engaged Koothrappali in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koothrappali wants to break free but AlKatheer has control.
AlKatheer misses with an elbow over the top. Koothrappali stalling in the clinch but AlKatheer improves position. AlKatheer taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Koothrappali jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as AlKatheer walks away with a smile on his face. Koothrappali gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. AlKatheer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Koothrappali. That one must have hurt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. AlKatheer is looking to clinch but Koothrappali is avoiding it.
Rajesh Koothrappali is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Koothrappali moves out of range of the body kick from AlKatheer.
Koothrappali cracks AlKatheer with a good jab. Koothrappali throws out a token jab with nothing on it. AlKatheer tries to clinch up. AlKatheer throws a sloppy head kick and Koothrappali moves out of range easily. AlKatheer moves out of range of the leg kick from Koothrappali. AlKatheer throws a head kick that misses and AlKatheer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. AlKatheer is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koothrappali lands a lovely overhand right. Koothrappali getting the better of the striking in that exchange. AlKatheer has a takedown stuffed. AlKatheer lands a leg kick that knocks Koothrappali off balance momentarily. AlKatheer clinches. Koothrappali lands a shoulder strike. A short uppercut from Koothrappali. AlKatheer is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Koothrappali is keeping busy. Koothrappali tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. AlKatheer just stands there and leans against the cage. Koothrappali misses with a hook to the ribs.
AlKatheer works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Koothrappali has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think AlKatheer should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Koothrappali has tightened it up now! AlKatheer should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rajesh Koothrappali! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Rajesh Koothrappali made sure he mentioned Brute, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
