Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benson The Scorpion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Scorpion is looking to clinch but Baker is avoiding it.
Baker clinches up against the cage.
The Scorpion jumps guard and drags Baker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The Scorpion tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Baker with a flurry of punches that miss.
Baker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of The Scorpion is proving hard to escape from.
The Scorpion not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Baker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The Scorpion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The Scorpion bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Benson The Scorpion has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Baker or perhaps it was just good defense by The Scorpion which made him look bad.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Baker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and The Scorpion counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The Scorpion drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Baker dives on top into guard.

Baker is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
The Scorpion gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The Scorpion escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baker throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and The Scorpion counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The Scorpion dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Baker. That did some damage!
Bobby Baker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Baker tries for a takedown but The Scorpion circles away easily
and The Scorpion counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by The Scorpion.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
The Scorpion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Scorpion leaves Baker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Baker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and The Scorpion counters with a thumping low kick.
The Scorpion clinches up against the cage.
The Scorpion breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The Scorpion throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Baker was covering up waiting for the punch and The Scorpion finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Baker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Baker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The Scorpion is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The Scorpion tries to lock up and control but Baker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Baker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. The Scorpion can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Baker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
