Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mad Dog Vachon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Villia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vachon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gros jambon. Junior Villia told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mad Dog Vachon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Villia! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villia is looking to land body kicks. Vachon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Villia to the mat! Villia manages to get full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Vachon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vachon is pushing down on Villia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Villia is fighting to maintain full guard but Vachon has managed to sneak the leg through. Vachon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Villia is not content to let Vachon control the position. Vachon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Vachon is working for a submission of some sort.
Vachon is looking to take a break and control but Villia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vachon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Villia tries to roll over but Vachon keeps him under control. Vachon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vachon slips a nice elbow through Villia's hands, connecting with Villia's forehead. Vachon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vachon is working for a submission of some sort.
Villia has hold of Vachon's hands but Vachon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Villia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Villia tries to get to full guard but Vachon has control of the leg. Vachon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Villia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Villia is defending against the submission attempts here by Vachon.
Vachon is working for a kimura but Villia is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vachon trying to control the action but Villia is working from the bottom. Vachon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vachon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vachon stalling away here and it's allowed Villia to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Vachon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vachon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Villia is trying to control the position but Vachon postures up. Villia preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Villia has momentary wrist control but Vachon slips an elbow through the middle. Vachon passes Villia's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Vachon is looking for a kimura but Villia is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vachon to get the leverage. Vachon seems to be looking for submissions.
Vachon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Villia is just riding it out for now. Vachon eventually gives up the hold. Vachon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Villia is staying active underneath Vachon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Villia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vachon trying to mount his opponent but Villia defends it. Vachon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Villia's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vachon is pressing down on Villia's thigh, looking to free his foot. Villia is holding on for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vachon maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Villia could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Vachon has cracked it and Villia is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Vachon!
