The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov misses with a lunging right hand

and Cartwright counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Khalidov's guard now.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Khalidov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Khalidov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cartwright is aware though and is defending well.

Cartwright drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cartwright as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Khalidov screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cartwright! Nice submission victory there!
