The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wellington's head.
Wellington fails with the takedown
and Pettis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Wellington is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Pettis thumps Wellington with a low kick.
Pettis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wellington.
Wellington blocks a head kick by Pettis.
Pettis misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Wellington counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pettis!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pettis is squirming around, avoiding Wellington's attempts to control the action.

Wellington is landing with some decent strikes but Pettis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pettis is breathing heavily.
Wellington unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Pettis wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Wellington celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
