Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gregg Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Downtown Swinga 96 by MOP. Gregg Valentine has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Esposito!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Valentine. Esposito shrugs it off though.
Esposito throws an overhand right that lands on Valentine's shoulder, as Valentine tries to avoid the shot.

Valentine moves out of range of the strikes.

Esposito thuds his right hand into Valentine's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Esposito hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Esposito throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Valentine shoots in looking for a takedown. Esposito tries to sprawl out of it but Valentine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Esposito manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Esposito stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gregg Valentine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Valentine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
